By allowing these gentle movements to counsel you, your mind is free to wander and explore within itself.

Spiritual meditation is similar to prayer that includes numerous elements to help practitioners reach a more contemplative state. In spiritual meditation, you endure the stillness and silence around you and gradually begin to allow your mind ponder to internal questions and thoughts through prayers. It can be practiced both at home or a place of worship, depending on where you feel comfortable. Some people find answers to their deepest thought from outside whilst few others simply allow themselves to be comfortable within the silence that they believe would eventually help them with an answer.

Mantra meditation uses a repetitive sound or set of humming to uncloud the mind. By chanting the mantra, your mind will be able to concentrate on the rhythmic song and liberate the stressors from within. There is no rule to sing mantras – it can be chirped loud or whispered within. The most common and beneficial mantra is chanting “Om” repeatedly that is known to incite many senses of the body with every hum of it. However, you can decide on which mantra to choose.

Transcendental meditation holds fame for having been practiced by millions worldwide because of its diligent structure. Though it shares its fame with Mantra meditation where practitioners can chant any mantra that they are comfortable with, Transcendental meditation holds an upper hand where each practitioner based on their birth year and gender will be given dedicated mantras to recite along with focusing the breath. It is purely not promoting a religion, but a philosophy and a lifestyle.
Who should try it: An Autodidact.
The most liberal form of meditation that does not need access to an expert. It is an eternal life practice and is the blanket approval for all techniques used to accept. Mindfulness meditation is an art to keep reminding oneself to experience the present situation and release stress into the air. With daily practice, it would lead to a focused attention and observation of the world. This mainly aids in understanding others instead of passing judgment on others.
